Bathroom Upgrade: Before
The purpose of this bathroom upgrade was to increase the overall size of the bathroom and create a more modern, clean-looking space. The bathroom was in dire need of an upgrade. The old tiles were cracked and discoloured, the fixtures were outdated and the sink was chipped. The lack of storage space made it difficult to keep the bathroom organized and functional. The overall look and feel of the bathroom were tired and uninviting. It was clear that a renovation was necessary to bring new life to the space and make it more functional for the homeowners. It was also a very small space which made it difficult to use. This bathroom required a full upgrade including a new bath, tiles, sink, toilet, and door, and creating additional space.
The Upgrade Process
The renovation process of an old bathroom began with a detailed plan and design that takes into account the homeowner's specific needs and preferences. In this case, the renovation involved adding a new sink, additional storage space, new tiles, and blowing out a wall to increase the overall floor space. The first step was removing the existing fixtures and prepping the space for the new additions. This included demolition work such as tearing down walls and removing old tiles. Next, plumbing and electrical were done to accommodate the new sink and any additional lighting or outlets. Once the rough-in work is complete, the new tiles were installed on the floors and walls, and the new sink and storage were set in place. The last step was to do any necessary finish work, such as painting and installing new trim or baseboards. Once the renovation is complete, the homeowner was left with a new bathroom that is not only larger, and more functional but also more visually appealing.
Bathroom Upgrade: After
The final product of the bathroom is stunning. We were able to effectively add more floor space in a way that complimented the bathroom and did not interfere with the rest of the house. The bath space is now much more functional and allows for much more ease of use for the homeowner. The storage space under the sink proved to be extremely useful. With the cupboard storage unit, the owner can now make use of the bathroom to its full potential. In terms of design, the bathroom looks much cleaner and modern. The new tile will make it much easier for the owner to keep clean, as opposed to the old tile which collected and revealed dirt and grime much easier. Overall, this was an upgrade which entailed a full transformation of every aspect of the bathroom.
The homeowner is happy that they can now use their bathroom to its full potential and confident in its use by guests.
